Lir Archaeology featured in the Lee Valley Outlook

We’re delighted to share that Lir Archaeology has been featured in the latest issue of the Lee Valley Outlook! The article, “Where the Past Meets the People: The Team at Lir Archaeology,” shines a lovely spotlight on our work, our team, and our grá for the heritage of Muskerry.

The piece highlights how we work to balance development with the careful protection of history. From surveys and excavations to preserving artefacts and capturing local folklore, it’s all part of our mission to protect the past while supporting the present.

We were especially touched that the article also recognised the importance of our community projects — from recording oral histories in schools to researching the origins of local place-names. For us, heritage isn’t just buried under the soil; it’s alive in the memories, voices, and traditions of our people.

A huge thank you to the Lee Valley Outlook team for featuring us and helping share our story.

And as always, if you’re planning a project, or if your community group would like to explore local history, feel free to get in touch!
